Antonio Napolitano, musician, graduated in Double Bass solo performance was born in Pomigliano D’arco (NA) on December the 03rd, 1984.
He grew up in a family with a huge passion for music, he approached it at the age of 12 years old attending the Electric Bass courses with Guido Russo at the Jabling/ARS Nova Music Academy. In 2006 he attended the courses of ensemble music and improvisation with the pianist Francesco Nastro. He attended the Conservatory of Music “Nicola Sala” in Benevento and in 2008 he obtained the Degree certificate of 1rt Level in Jazz (Bass) - Technique of improvisation and Arrangement for Big Bands. At that time, he decided to increase his knowledge of harmony, improvisation and the role of the Bass in Jazz music. He intesified the study of the Double Bass with Maestro Gianluigi Goglia.
He won several National Jazz Music Competitions with eminent musicians and childhood friends, and he still work together with them.
In 2006 he won the 1st Jimmy Woode Prize with “Mr. Illogic Trio” composed of: Andrea Rea, Antonio Napolitano, Elio Coppola.
In 2007 he won the National Competition “Chicco Bettinardi” - New Italian Jazz Talents with “Ostinato Jazz Quartet” composed of: Andrea Santaniello, Andrea Rea, Antonio Napolitano, Elio Coppola.
In 2008 he won the Moncalieri Jazz Award with “FAG trio” composed of: Francesco Marziani, Antonio Napolitano, Luigi “Gino” Del Prete.
He performed in many Jazz Music Festivals, such as: Pomigliano Jazz, METU Art Festival, Umbria Jazz Winter, Arquato Jazz, Marigliano in Jazz, Moncalieri Jazz Festival, Piacenza Jazz, Tuscia in Jazz, Fiano Music Festival, Lioni Jazz, San Gia … zz, MuseiDiSera, Jazz & Baccala’, Marcianise in Jazz, Giullarte, Festa Dei Gigli Foundation, Well in Jazz, Serafino Jazz, Suoni Dal Golfo, Pozzuoli Jazz Festival, XXVII International Festival of Tagliacozzo Midsummer, AnacapriFaMusica XII and many others.

His love for Jazz meets Classical Music. Driven by the desire to increase his skills at playing this instrument, in 2017 he attended the Conservatory of Music “D. Cimarosa” in Avellino under the eyes of Maestro Carmine Laino. In 2020 he obtained the Degree certificate of 2nd Level in Double Bass (solo performance) graduated with honors.
